Vigilance Awareness Week 2022 observed in OFSDS

Vigilance Awareness Week – 2022 observance commenced at Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society from 31st October 2022 at the Project Management Unit Office, Bhubaneswar. The theme of this year is “Corruption free India for a developed Nation” or “ଏକ ବିକଶିତ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ର ପାଇଁ ଦୁର୍ନୀତି ମୁକ୍ତ ଭାରତ”.

The week-long programme was inaugurated at the PMU Office on 31st October 2022 at 11.00 hrs. Joining the state-level function on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week on virtual platform, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “I am delighted to know that in the area of detection and registration of disproportionate assets cases, Odisha’s Vigilance wing has been ranked number one in the country as per the latest NCRB data.” Speaking on the occasion CM also said that Odisha Govt has adopted ‘Zero Tolerance’ approach to corruption so that basic public services are available to people at grassroots in a fair & transparent manner, and the benefits of welfare & developmental schemes reach backward & poor sections.

The state level function was organised at the Convention Centre for this purpose and all public offices of the state joined through the virtual platform. The Chief Minister administered ‘Integrity Pledge’ to all the officers and staff of the state connected on virtual platform.

Dr. (Mrs) Meeta Biswal, IFS, PCCF (Projects) & Project Director of OFSDS presided over the meeting at PMU, OFSDS and addressed the employees of OFSDP-II, AJY and OMBADC projects functioning under OFSDS.

She highlighted transparency is the key to delivering effective public service and serving the community should be the primary goal in public offices. She called everyone to practice self-discipline as a mantra in work and practice honesty with utmost sincerity. She advised all officers and staff to follow the basic principles of integrity in life. In the long run this practice will increase the efficiency of the organisation and promote self-realization as a disciplined and honest human being.

On this occasion, the staff took the citizen’s pledge and organisational pledge and vowed to maintain highest degree of integrity to contribute for building the character of our nation. All staff of OFSDP-II, AJY and OMBADC have also participated in the meeting.

The Vigilance Awareness Week will continue till 5th November 2022.
