PD, OFSDP deliberated on 9thProject Directors Meeting of JICA-Assisted Forestry & Natural Resource Management Projects
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) India office organised the 9th edition of the Project Directors Meeting of JICA-Supported Forestry & Natural Resource Management Projects, in New Delhi, on 19th September 2018.
The programme was formally inguarated by Mr. Katsuo Matsumoto, Chief Representative of JICA India office, New Delhi and it was attended by Addl. D.G Forest, MoEF& CC, GOI; Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance, GOI; Director (Japan), DEA, GOI; Inspector General of Forests (IGF), Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), GOI.
Heads of JICA-supported forestry projects of Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tripura, Sikkim and Nagaland made technical presentations on sustainable forest management in this meeting as per the agenda communicated. Shri L.K.Tewari, Project Director, OFSDP-II made a presentation on this occasion in which the concept and establishment of Livelihood Resource Centre (LRC) OFSDP-II was flagged.
