DR. K.MURUGESAN, IFS JOINED AS PRINCIPAL CHIEF CONSERVATOR OF FORESTS (PROJECTS) AND PROJECT DIRECTOR, OFSDP
Dr. K. Murugesan, IFS (RR-1994), joined as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Project Director of the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP) on 30th June 2025. In addition to his new responsibilities, Dr. Murugesan is currently serving as the Member Secretary of the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and holds the additional charge of PCCF (Forest Diversion & Nodal Officer, Forest Conservation Act) at the Office of the PCCF, Odisha. He has now taken over the additional charge of PCCF & Project Director, OFSDP.
In his inaugural address to the staff of PMU and OFSDS, Dr. K. Murugesan, IFS, Project Director, earnestly encouraged all team members to approach their assignments with sincerity, emphasizing that such dedication is essential for the project to leave a meaningful and enduring legacy in the field. He further counselled the staff to foster close coordination with field units and to adopt a mission-driven approach for the project works to carry out the project’s vision of delivering tangible benefits to the community at the grassroots level.
